Reserved and extremely formal: this is how Japanese people are pictured in the imagination of western people. However, in the few days of holidays connected to the blossoming of cherry flowers (the so called Hanami) the real inner joyful soul of this population comes out. Japanese people love this ancient tradition so much that they constantly follow the official blossoming forecast in order to plan in advance their holidays in the right Hanami period.
When it’s finally time for this country to be colored in pink, thousands of people migrate all over the nation to spend some time together, celebrating that of the year when the awareness of the brevity of life leaves space to the magical beauty of the continuous rebirth, year after year, of cherry blossoms.
